While studying in Master Degree of Public Administration at Thammasat University Thailand, I had been implanted about the Japanese Model of Business Management and Public Affair. It was, and still is, extremely impressive to me about Japanese's ideas."Without existing of company, without employees and the vise ver sa."
Most Japanese will be willing to work hard for their companies not only the highest benefit of such entities, but for the good common of them - both company and employees as the unique family. For this reason, if the entities subject to the dilemma; those employees will do everything that renders the company exists and thereby they will not be defunct from the market. Simultaneously, the entities will treat their employees as a member of family; no lay off policy can be adopted in the homogeneous society of Nippon.
Tremendously astonishing components of Japan make me utterly doubtful. Most scholars illuminate that the people in this country have never been tolerate with the different ideas; they think and believe in the same way; the cultural factors control their behaviors since they were born until they pass away. Homogeneous society, then, has been imposed on the characteristics of people of Nippon. Then, the new generations must act in the same way as their forerunners. Social control is the strongly powerful effect to the people's habits.
I found that everywhere I visited is very neat and clean even in the fresh market and public road. No has been discarded even single trash on the road while I cannot see anything prepared for the people to disposed their garbage. It sounds wonderful for me because everyone has to carry their rubbish wastes to home and keep the public clean.
I can compare this different behavior with the general people in the United States where I have been living for three years. All public places must be equipped with several kinds of garbage bins that can save humungous amount of those disposal ones in public places. If there is none, it might be beyond our imaginary view of point about those wastes!
I came here in May 24, 2006 on the special support of East Asian Pacific Study Center at the University of Illinois At Urbana-Champaign, namely Pre-dissertation summer traveling program. My first intention is to study about Japanese Criminal Justice System, specifically, the confession admissibility and community policing policy. Those particular topics are relating to my doctoral degree thesis at College of Law University of Illinois.

If the culture factors of this country are not too severely incongruent with that of my country, introducing the Japanese Model might enrich Thailand's achievement in crime clearance rate and thereby renders our society neat and peaceful.
Ministry of Justice arranges me a schedule to visit him and the Office of Prosecutor on June 12, 2006; they will provide documents and instructions of Japanese Criminal Justice System as a whole. I might have a chance to interview the prosecutors who inquire the crime investigation and also talk with some judges to find out what I want.
On June 14, 2006, National Police Agency of Japan provides me the visiting of this office and the Tokyo Metropolitan police office to see their activities. I thought it might be very useful for me to learn how the police act to the people and what factors that cause the police and people have the best relationship which finally corporate one another to achieve the crime clearance rate.

From June 18 to 22, 2006, I will visit the Osaka prefecture to talk with Judges, prosecutors and police office in this area. Mika, a Japanese prosecutor and friend of mine, will act as my interpreter during my visiting. I hope that this visiting will provide me a huge benefit as my intention.
Because of Osaka location which is very close to Kyoto and Nara, I plan to visit those cities as well after I have finished officially discussing with my law enforcement officer career. Those are the former capital city of Japan in the ancient period. I believe it must be my best opportunity through out my life because I can obtain my academic knowledge and concomitantly I can visit those vitally historical places.
Finally, I have an appointment to speak with Professor Kawakami at University of Waseda University on June 29, 2006. After talking with the officers who work in the practical world, I will have a room of window to talk with one of eminent professor in criminal law area of Japan to see how those ideas might be incongruent with each other and how they repair those incompatibilities. An approximately one month must be most valuable time in my life. Learning culture and practice in reality as well as an academic idea are the goal of my plan.
Thank you very much Professor Tom Ginsburg and Professor Thomas Ulen who always support me and fund me for this visiting!
"I really Love Illinois! Thank you very much for supporting me!"
